Health

It isn't just loud music. Until you get a good education on high intensity/low-frequency (HI/LF) noise, you won't understand that hearing loss, while a very real and important effect of boom car noise, is one of the least of our worries. Read these. In the meantime, don't buy this equipment for your kids!

How Americans Feel About Boom Car Noise

These are real letters to politicians and editors from real American citizens whose sentiments echo those of millions of others who are trying hard to get the message across to politicians, and law enforcement that we have had enough of the intolerable HI/LF noise.

Crime, Violence, Misfortune and Thugs

The law and media tell us that there is a direct link between loud car stereos and crime. It not only shows up in news releases, such as those below, but also in law enforcement references, logs and reports. Those are only the reported crimes.

We were going to separate articles that deal with thugs from those that deal with crime, but -- they just run together. So here is the runny mess. We think you'll get the picture.

Vroom

Boom cars operators are also known to be very fond of installing other noise makers on their cars. As if the boom wasn't enough, they need you to notice them when the stereo isn't going as well. The louf, raspy, farting type of noise you hear from these cars is the aftermarket exhaust systems, or straight pipes. Almost as irritating as the stereos, and just as unnecessary, most people would rather these items be eradicated as well. They are pushed by the same noise industrial complex players as the boom cars -- manufacturers, MERA and SEMA.
