At approximately 2:30 p.m. Tuesday a traffic stop for a violation of the city's loud music ordinance, resulted in the seizure of (44) rocks of crack cocaine, in addition to marijuana and ecstasy, the police release said.

Arrested in connection with the incident was Quentin Frank, 19, of 431 Acadia St. Eunice. Frank was observed by police in the patrol division in the area of East and Madison streets. The initial officer said he could hear loud music coming from the vehicle that was driven by Frank, and proceeded to stop him for that violation.

But, police said Frank did not stop at first. He was followed by police until he was finally pulled over at the 600 block of S. Academy Street. A further investigation resulted in the location of narcotics.

Police records show Frank was booked and charged for a loud music ordinance violation, resisting an officer by flight, driving under suspension, possession of schedule I narcotics (marijuana), and possession of schedule II narcotics (crack cocaine) with intent to distribute.
